Melissa has always been a huge animal and nature lover. She would spend her childhood outside from dawn till dusk. When she wasn’t playing sports, she was inside doing something creative. She started drawing and dancing at the age of 7 to help find solitude from her chaotic childhood. Fast forward and Dancing is what got her, her first TV show at 18. Opening the door to the world of Film & TV. She picked up her first camera professionally back in 2008 and never looked back. Melissa is a dynamic and multi-faceted artist whose work transcends boundaries. A now seasoned stunt woman, and actress of 17 years, Melissa brings an unmatched physicality and passion to her craft, drawing on a deep connection to the natural world. With a background rooted in the rugged beauty of the East Coast of Canada, she now divides her time between the serene waters of Hawaii, the vibrant culture of Mexico, and the wild landscapes of Nova Scotia.

As a freediver, Melissa has developed a profound respect for the ocean and its delicate ecosystems, which informs her floral artistry. Specializing in flower photography, she captures the intricate beauty and resilience of nature, creating custom art pieces that celebrate the fleeting elegance of flowers. Her work is a testament to the balance between strength and delicacy, drawing on her diverse experiences as a stunt performer and her deep love for the environment.

Give the Gift of Conservation

Bees are far more important than many people realize — conserving them is critical for nature, food, and human survival. Here’s why:

🌸 Pollination & Food Security

  • Bees pollinate around 75% of flowering plants and one-third of the world’s food crops (fruits, vegetables, nuts, coffee, cocoa, etc.).

  • Without bees, global food supply would shrink, leading to higher prices and reduced variety.

🌳 Biodiversity & Ecosystems

  • Wild plants depend on bees to reproduce.

  • By pollinating, bees help maintain healthy ecosystems, which support wildlife and prevent soil erosion.

🐝 Economic Impact

  • Pollination services provided by bees are worth billions of dollars annually to agriculture worldwide.

  • Farmers rely on bees for crop yields and quality.

🌍 Environmental Indicators

  • Bees are sensitive to changes in their environment. Declines in bee populations signal broader problems like pesticide overuse, habitat destruction, and climate change.

💛 Human Wellbeing

  • Beyond food, bees give us honey, wax, propolis, and royal jelly.

  • Culturally, they symbolize community, cooperation, and resilience.

👉 Conserving bees means planting pollinator-friendly flowers, reducing pesticide use, protecting wild habitats, and supporting sustainable farming.
